Tax Relief for Colorado Flood Victims
Victims of severe storms, flooding, landslides and mudslides that began on Sept. 11, 2013 in parts of Colorado may qualify for tax relief from the Internal Revenue Service. Following recent disaster declarations for individual assistance issued by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the IRS announced today that affected taxpayers in Colorado will receive tax relief, and other locations may be added in coming days based on additional damage assessments by FEMA. A message from Pinewood Springs resident and local Realtor, Jill Bryant…. please read if you or someone you know is looking for temporary housing: “I just wanted to let everyone know that I am the coordinator (in conjunction with Boulder Board of Realtors and Boulder County) for temporary housing for displaced Flood victims. The National Guard does not want people parking in the way of heavy equipment on the highway but on side roads like what is left of the entrance to CR-47/Big Elk. I’m still waiting to hear from the CDOT construction manager for more details but for now… we can access our homes during the 36 construction process. The public statement about highway 36 being closed is intended for...
