Lyon’s Schools to Reopen Sooner Than Expected

Lyons-school

A message from the St. Vrain School District:

Parents and Guardians of Lyons Elementary & Middle-Senior Students:

On Thursday, October 24, officials with the Town of Lyons notified the District that repairs to the community’s infrastructure are ahead of schedule, allowing our schools to reopen in Lyons sooner than originally expected.

Barring unforeseen complications, all Lyons PK-12 students will resume their “pre-flood” schedule on Monday, December 2, immediately after the Thanksgiving Holiday. In the interim, bus transportation from Lyons to the Main Street School will be increased to accommodate families returning to their homes.

A meeting to review and discuss the details associated with the move back to the Lyons buildings will be held at 6:30 P.M. on Wednesday, November 6 in the Longmont High School auditorium, 1040 Sunset Street. We encourage parents and other family members to attend this important informational meeting.

For families that are unable to attend the November 6 meeting, additional information concerning the move will be provided via the District ShoutPoint parent notification system and the school websites.

Thank you.
