ONE LANE OF US 36 CLOSED BETWEEN ESTES PARK AND PINEWOOD SPRINGS NOW THROUGH THE HOLIDAYS Effective immediately and lasting 24 hours a day, seven days a week through at least Friday, January 3, CDOT has closed the western lane of US 36 near mile marker 10 north of Pinewood Springs and south of Estes Park. The temporary roadway is in significant need of repairs at the location, where the hillside beneath the highway has degraded and the roadway is no longer stable. In the interest of motorist safety, the lane will be closed until emergency repairs can be made after the New Year holiday.
