Tax Relief for Colorado Flood Victims

Victims of severe storms, flooding, landslides and mudslides that began on Sept. 11, 2013 in parts of Colorado may qualify for tax relief from the Internal Revenue Service. Following recent disaster declarations for individual assistance issued by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the IRS announced today that affected taxpayers in Colorado will receive tax relief, and other locations may be added in coming days based on additional damage assessments by FEMA. The President has declared the counties of Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Clear Creek, El Paso, Jefferson, Larimer, Logan and Weld a federal disaster area.
