Update: Kiowa / Cree Bridge

Good News! The contractors delivered equipment to Pinewood Springs last night. They will begin work sometime next week. Dan asks that every please stop parking their cars at the Kiowa bridge site. They will need this area to be clear so they can start working. Please share this message with anyone you see trying to park in that area. We don’t want to slow down progress!

Water System Repair Update

The Duel Filtration System at the Treatment plant is up and running. Unfortunately, one of the two units was damaged in the flood. Due to this limiting factor Carl is only able to make approximately 15,000 gallons of water per day. Our normal production is almost twice that much daily. The Board asks that you be very careful with your water usage until the second unit is repaired or replaced.  If usage continues to exceed production, hauling will be our only option. We’re not sure the heavy trucks would be allowed over the damaged roads. Also, remember that NO outside use of treated water is allowed. Sorry for the not so good news. ~Gabi

Notice: Seneca Bridge Access Restriction

“Due to damage to the Seneca Road Bridge by the flood waters, Larimer County has rated that bridge at 5 tons maximum load.  This limits access across the bridge to only smaller emergency vehicles and reduces our firefighting capability significantly in the affected areas of Pinewood Springs.  Medical response capability should not be affected.  We are working with the County to determine timing to reestablish full access across that bridge from temporary or permanent repairs.” Andrew Lucas Assistant Chief, Pinewood Springs FPD – Commander/Coordinator, Saint Vrain Rapid Intervention Team
