CDOT Traffic Alert – US 36 During the Holidays

ONE LANE OF US 36 CLOSED BETWEEN ESTES PARK AND PINEWOOD SPRINGS NOW THROUGH THE HOLIDAYS Effective immediately and lasting 24 hours a day, seven days a week through at least Friday, January 3, CDOT has closed the western lane of US 36 near mile marker 10 north of Pinewood Springs and south of Estes Park. The temporary roadway is in significant need of repairs at the location, where the hillside beneath the highway has degraded and the roadway is no longer stable. In the interest of motorist safety, the lane will be closed until emergency repairs can be made after the New Year holiday. Motorists should be prepared for a single lane of alternating traffic 24/7 via traffic signal or flaggers with delays of up to 15 minutes expected. Drivers are encouraged to build...

Larimer County: Debris Removal Begins November 25th

Fort Collins, CO – In addition to the Flood 2013 debris pick-up schedule, Larimer County’s Solid Waste Department has announced a flood debris helpline, (970)498-7140, where residents can call for debris pick-up updates beginning Monday, Nov. 25.  Larimer County has contracted with T.F.R. Enterprises Inc., to remove debris on County owned and maintained roads, and Leidos Inc., who will monitor the debris removal. The debris removal schedule also begins Monday, November 25 with the first pick-ups on: 1. Mail Delivery to Pinewood Springs

Roadside mail delivery to our Pinewood Springs mailboxes will resume on Monday, November 18th. If you haven’t been picking up your mail consistently since the flood, please stop by the Lyons Post office to pick up your old mail. Also, some UPS and FedEx packages for Pinewood residents are still sitting at the Lyons General Store on Main Street. Many of these packages were sent when the highway was closed and date back to September and October. Just stop by there to see if you have any old packages to pick up.
